Minister of Railways inspects Ahmedabad – Dahod – Vadodara section

Ashwini Vaishnaw – Union Minister for Railways, Communications and Electronics and Information Technology, carried out a thorough inspection of the Ahmedabad – Dahod – Vadodara section on Western Railway on April 20, 2022. Vaishnaw also provided an update on various ongoing infrastructure development and improvement works as well as passenger amenities on the section. The Minister of Railways also inspected the Ahmedabad Railway Station and later visited the Dahod workshop and briefed on the maintenance works and ongoing activities. Vaishnaw was accompanied by Darshana Jardosh – Union Minister of State for Textiles and Railways. On this occasion, VK Tripathi – Chairman and CEO of Railway Board, Anil Kumar Lahoti – Managing Director of Western & Central Railway were also present along with senior executives from WR.

According to Sumit Thakur – Public Relations Manager of Western Railway, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw arrived at Ahmedabad Railway Station in the morning and reviewed the status of various infrastructure works including works station redevelopment and other passenger development works underway. He also interacted with National Institute of Design (NID) officials and reviewed the One Station One Product stands and kiosk designs being developed by NID, Ahmedabad. Subsequently, Minister of Railways – Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State for Railways – Darshana Jardosh and Anil Kumar Lahoti – Managing Director of Western & Central Railway conducted window inspection of Ahmedabad – Dahod section . At Dahod station, Vaishnaw & Jardosh visited One Station One Product booth at the station and enjoyed the various useful tribal products on sale. Later, they visited the Dahod workshop and took stock of the site. They inspected the infrastructural configuration of the machines and also saw the miniature model of the next locomotive production unit. The Minister of Railways and the Minister of State for Railways also interacted with the employees and boosted their morale. He asked them to do their best to implement the new technology in the manufacture of 9,000 HP locomotives. He urged that this would be a big step towards the Make in India & Make for World initiative. The staff and officers wholeheartedly assured him to give their best performance.
