Kanpur: The Kanpur Nagar district administration imposed Section 144 Cr PC ex-parte on Saturday.
ADM (Finance and Revenue) Dayanand Prasad said in his order that Section 144 of the CrPC is enforced in the city as there are every possibility of law and order being disrupted due to dharnas and processions taken by various political parties, religious organizations, labor unrest, Parshuram Jayanti, Alvida, Eid-ul-Fitr, Buddha Purnima other upcoming festivals and examinations to be organized by the Public Service Commission.
To ensure examinations without copies, except for the candidates, the center director, the supervisor, the civil servants, the employees, the flying squad, the sector and zone magistrate and the police officers would be allowed to enter examination centers.
All others were banned from entering within 100 meters of the center, the order said.
The use of loudspeakers will be prohibited within 100 meters of the examination centre.
Likewise, all photocopiers, faxes, internet cafes within a 100 meter radius of the exam center would remain closed.
This order would not be applied to government officials and institutions.
It is forbidden for people to carry with them a firearm or a sharp weapon in a public place.
No one could hold a rally, public meeting, street meeting or parade without asking permission from the district administration. The use of loudspeakers would be totally prohibited between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Dismissal in marriage and other functions is also prohibited.
